Organic Thin film Transistors

Organic thin film transistors (OTFTs) utilizes an organic semiconductor as the channel material. OTFTs have a distinct advantage over inorganic counterparts as they can be fabricated using simpler and low temperature processing techniques. There are different types of OTFTs such as organic field effect transistors (OFETs), organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) and organic light emitting field effect transistors (OLEFETs). These different OTFTs are widely investigated for different applications including display technologies, sensors, biosensors and bioelectronics. Innovative designs and insights into the device physics are key for customising OTFTs for different applications.
